Artistics at its best with Cirque Eloize's "Saloon". The Tollwood Winter Festival takes place from 23rd of November to 31st of December at Theresienwiese in Munich, Germany.

Tollwood is famous for its charming Christmas market in the heart of the Bavarian state capital but there is so much more to it: the festival is also known as a platform for ecological commitment and cultural activities.

Germany's Marco Huck redeemed himself after two controversial decisions by putting in a solid performance to beat Britain's Ola Afolabi by majority decision in Berlin on Saturday. In doing so he retained the WBO cruiserweight world title for an eleventh time since winning it 2009. After twelve action packed rounds, two of the judges awarded their decision to Huck, the third official unable to separate the pair, scored it a draw.

This was the third time these two world class cruiserweights had met in the ring and now, after having boxed 36 rounds, the chapter can finally be closed. Even when one...

Brähmer Stays on Course for Cleverly Clash

For the second weekend in a row, boxing fans were treated to a bumper night of action with plenty of leather and gold laid on the line. Perhaps the pick of the night was Danny Garcia's (26-0) successful defence of his WBA & WBC light welterweight belts in his defeat of former IBF champion Zab Judah (42-8). After dominating the first six rounds and knocking Judah to the canvas in the eighth, Garcia was wobbled by the challenger in the later rounds. The champ kept his focus though, and won a unanimous decision over an expereinced campaigner who dug deep just to stay in the fight to hear the...

Krasniqi Outpointed by Cleverly

Krasniqi has work to do but is still young enough to get another world title chance. Photo: Tony Mayger

Despite a valiant effort from Munich´s Robin Krasniqi, his dream of becoming a world champion ended in disappointment after a wide points defeat to Welshman Nathan Cleverly in London last night.

It looked like it would be a short night's work for the champion when he caught Krasniqi with a right hook to the side of the face in the opening round, dazing the challenger momentarily. However, Krasniqi regained composure very quickly and went on to complete the full 12 rounds, losing a unanimous decision by just about the widest possible margin. Two of the judges scored all rounds in Cleverly's...

It was a good night of boxing action at the Kuppelsaal Congress Centrum in Hannover as the German Eagles delighted the packed arena with a comprehensive victory against the visiting British Lionhearts in Group B. 2008 Olympic bronze medallist Veaceslav Gojan, former AIBA Youth World Champion, Artur Bril and German World Series of Boxing (WSB) newcomer Emir Ahmatovic were the stars of the show in a match to remember for the home team.

Klitschko is expected to comfortably deal with former sparring partner Francesco Pianeta on Saturday night. Photo: Tony Mayger
This Saturday night in Mannheim, world heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko will lay all his belts on the line when he takes on former sparring partner Francesco Pianeta.

Few will lay money on an upset, except maybe the challengers' close family and most loyal of friends. As the great Muhammed Ali used to say, he has two chances of beating him - slim and none.

Italian-born southpaw Pianeta grew up in Gelsenkirchen after his family moved there when he was six years old. He is unbeaten in 29 professional fights with the only smudge on his record being a draw with Albert Sosnowski back in...

Cruel Britannia

Krasniqi has ever reason to believe he can upset the odds. Photo: Tony Mayger
Cancellation hard to stomach as Cleverly sick again.

He has dealt with disappointment before but this time it's really angered him. With less than two weeks to go before a career defining world title fight with world champion Nathan Cleverly, Munich's Robin Krasniqi must now carefully re-plan his training after the fight was put back by 5 weeks to April 20th after the two headline acts suffered illness.

His showdown with Nathan Cleverly for the WBO world light-heavyweight title was originally made for The Royal Albert Hall in spring 2012. Cleverly pulled out of that match after picking up a...
