Skoda Unveils Facelifted Enyaq RS: Aesthetically Enhanced, Performance Unchanged

Fri 9th May, 2025

Skoda has officially revealed the facelifted version of its flagship Enyaq RS model, aligning it with the updated visual aesthetics of the Enyaq series. Despite the fresh exterior look, the technical specifications of this electric SUV remain largely the same.

The Enyaq RS features subtle design tweaks compared to its Enyaq counterparts. Notable changes include a redesigned front and rear bumper, a sportier suspension system with a lower ride height, and striking 21-inch alloy wheels. Skoda offers the RS in both a traditional SUV shape and a sportier coupe variant with a sloped rear profile.

Inside, the Enyaq RS boasts sporty seats and a three-spoke steering wheel, elements that are part of the Sportline trim. The vehicle comes with a generous array of standard features, including a sophisticated navigation system, electrically adjustable seats with a massage function, and advanced matrix lighting. A key difference between the SUV and coupe versions is that the former features an opening panoramic roof, while the coupe variant does not.

Under the hood, the Enyaq RS's powertrain remains unchanged, delivering a system output of 250 kW. Skoda claims a 0 to 100 km/h acceleration time of just 5.4 seconds, with a top speed of 180 km/h. However, to achieve this full power output for a limited duration, specific conditions must be met, including a battery charge above 88 percent and the battery temperature maintained between 23 and 50 degrees Celsius. It remains unclear if these conditions apply to the Enyaq RS.

The battery capacity of the Enyaq RS has been slightly increased. It now features a gross energy content of 86 kWh, with a net capacity of 79 kWh. The SUV supports a maximum DC charging power of 185 kW, while AC charging remains at the standard 11 kW. Additionally, the vehicle includes standard battery preconditioning and a heat pump for more efficient cabin heating.

Pricing details for the Enyaq RS have not yet been disclosed, but a glance at the existing model range suggests a starting price of around EUR61,000, which would position it above the Enyaq 85x Sportline with similar features, currently priced at EUR57,850. This pricing strategy would make the Enyaq RS more expensive than the VW ID.4 GTX, which is available from EUR55,555.

As Skoda continues to refine its Enyaq lineup, the facelifted RS variant promises to attract attention with its enhanced styling while maintaining its established performance credentials.
