Ulm, Baden-Württemberg - In a significant police operation, law enforcement agencies took action against car enthusiasts engaging in illegal street racing and modifications in Ulm, Memmingen (Bavaria), and Altenstadt. The operation, which included the deployment of a helicopter, took place during the early hours of Sunday.

The situation escalated after social media posts attracted hundreds of tuning fans to the streets. Promptly responding to the gatherings, the police conducted extensive checks in the Ulm area, involving approximately 300 vehicles and 500 individuals.

As a result of the operation, authorities issued 20 citations, impounded six vehicles, and imposed fines on 30 drivers for violating municipal regulations. Despite these measures, the gatherings continued to grow.

Many participants left Baden-Württemberg to avoid police scrutiny, leading to increased gatherings in Bavaria. In Memmingen and Altenstadt, the police estimated that around 1,000 individuals participated in these unauthorized events. Law enforcement continued to enforce regulations, dispersing the crowds, confiscating vehicles, and issuing substantial fines.

Unfortunately, the situation took a turn for the worse when multiple rear-end collisions occurred on the A7 highway while individuals were en route to a meet-up in Altenstadt. Three people sustained minor injuries, and several vehicles were damaged in the incidents. The police operation extended into the early morning hours as authorities worked to restore order.
