Lenovo has officially entered the humanoid robotics market with the introduction of its first robot, the LeXiang No. 1, showcased at Tech World 2025 in Shanghai. This innovative robot is designed to possess advanced embodied and artificial intelligence capabilities, positioning it as a potential 'smart assistant' suitable for various service industries.

During the unveiling, Lenovo's CEO highlighted the company's ambition to expand its business portfolio beyond traditional hardware. He indicated that 'intelligent agents' could become a core part of Lenovo's operations, assisting individuals across different aspects of life, including the deployment of humanoid robots like the LeXiang No. 1.

The LeXiang No. 1, measuring approximately one meter in height, demonstrated impressive agility and fluid movements, showcasing its embodied intelligence. More importantly, this robot is equipped to handle complex corporate tasks through a three-layered framework that enables it to interact with devices and utilize data within the Lenovo ecosystem autonomously. Lenovo assures that stringent security and privacy protocols will be maintained throughout its operations.

In a practical demonstration, the robot accessed extensive business data from Lenovo and was able to respond to inquiries in natural language, illustrating its potential for effective communication and information processing.

Lenovo plans to participate in the inaugural Beijing Humanoid Robot Sports Competition in August 2025, where humanoid robots will compete in various disciplines such as gymnastics and soccer, allowing them to showcase their agility and performance capabilities.

Looking ahead, Lenovo aims to expedite the market introduction of the LeXiang No. 1, with a primary focus on service-oriented applications. Initially, the robot will target sectors such as elder care and hospital assistance, addressing the growing demand for innovative solutions in these fields.
