Stendal - On June 4, 2025, at approximately 2:40 PM, a 41-year-old man was reported for public misconduct at the Stendal main train station. The incident began when the individual urinated on the premises of the Federal Police building, prompting officers to intervene.

The police approached the man, conducted an identification check, and subsequently issued a fine of EUR55 for the violation of railway cleanliness regulations. However, less than half an hour later, at 3:03 PM, a 44-year-old woman reported that the same individual was causing a disturbance in the main hall of the station. According to her testimony, the man was shouting at passengers and behaving aggressively.

The woman, who encountered him while he was smoking, confronted him about his behavior. This interaction escalated, leading to the man verbally abusing her and spitting towards her daughter.

In response to the woman's complaint, officers quickly arrived at the scene and identified the man as the one previously fined. He displayed aggressive behavior, shouting at the officers as well. During a subsequent search, the police discovered a pocket knife in his jacket.

The individual was taken to the Federal Police station, where his aggression intensified. He continued to insult the officers and spat in their direction. In order to restore order, a police officer had to physically restrain him until he calmed down.

As a result of his actions, multiple charges were filed against him, including violations of the Railway Construction and Operation Regulation, the Federal Non-Smoking Protection Act, and the Criminal Code.

This incident highlights the ongoing challenges law enforcement faces in maintaining public order in busy transport hubs.
