Munich. Isarinselfest: from the 3rd to the 5th of September, 75,000 visitors are expected to visit the festival located between Ludwigs and Maximilian bridge.
Stroll over the Ludwig bridge, gaze at stilt walkers, listen to story tellers, watch the kids play with their boats and relax at the Isar with live music - almost like the Isar bridge festival 2 years ago for the city's 850th birthday.
The festival is organised by the AWO, the Arbeitersamariterbund, the SPD and others. From Friday, 6 o'clock, til Sunday 5 o'clock, a varied program is planned. At the culture stage there will be music & cabaret with stand up comedian Senay Duzcu and the Phil Vetter quartett. In the evening there will be rock-pop acts like Stefanie Heinzmann and Casa del Bo at the Charivari stage. There will also be a lot of food and beverage stands and lots to offer for kids.
Oliver Belik, representative of IsarInselFest e.V said "We want to invite people for a stroll through the festivities, the festivals purpose is only for partying, we want it to be a proper citizens festival." Safety has been discussed and planned: "Police and local authorities gave the O.K", says Andrea Schnurrer, a member of the organisation committee.
