Saarland Introduces Video Surveillance at Waste Containers

The Saarland region is set to implement video surveillance at waste containers to assist municipalities in combating illegal waste disposal. The state parliament has passed a law permitting local governments to utilize cameras to monitor these areas.

This legislative measure comes in response to a growing trend of illegal dumping, particularly affecting locations designated for recyclable materials.
