Robbers Blow Up ATMs in Mülheim an der Ruhr

In Mülheim an der Ruhr, unknown perpetrators detonated two cash machines early on Saturday morning, triggering a series of explosions that were reported by local witnesses. The incidents occurred on Düsseldorfer Straße around 3:20 AM, where witnesses described hearing four successive blasts.

Upon arrival, law enforcement discovered two severely damaged ATMs belonging to different banking institutions. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and initial assessments indicated that the surrounding buildings remained structurally sound despite the significant damage caused.

Eyewitnesses observed at least four individuals fleeing the scene on two motorcycles. They made their escape via Langenfeldstraße, Am Bühlsbach, and Nachbarsweg. Additionally, a black Audi was seen leaving the area, likely heading towards Mülheim's city center via Straßburger Allee.

The criminal investigation department has launched an inquiry into the matter. Officers have secured evidence from the scene and taken photographs. It remains unclear whether the suspects managed to obtain any cash during the heist.
