Police Seek Suspect in Stabbing Incident Involving Two Men in Hamburg

Authorities in Hamburg are on the lookout for a 33-year-old man from Turkey who is suspected of stabbing two individuals in a residential building on Friday evening. The incident occurred around 8:55 PM at an apartment located on Piependreiherweg in the Ottensen district.

According to preliminary investigations, the suspect gained entry into the multi-family residence under false pretenses. Once inside, he allegedly launched an unprovoked attack with a knife on the 56-year-old resident and a 22-year-old family member who was visiting. Both victims sustained serious injuries from the stabbing but are not in life-threatening condition.

Emergency services responded promptly, transporting the two injured men, along with a 51-year-old woman who experienced shock, to the hospital for treatment. Witnesses reported seeing the suspect flee the scene immediately following the attack, and police have since initiated a search operation involving multiple patrol units.

The Hamburg homicide unit, LKA 41, has taken over the investigation and is currently focusing on the 33-year-old suspect, who is believed to have had some prior relationship with the victims. As inquiries continue, authorities are urging anyone with information regarding the suspect's whereabouts to come forward.

The incident has raised concerns within the local community, highlighting the urgency for police to apprehend the alleged assailant before further harm can occur.
