In an incident that unfolded in the Gesundbrunnen district of Berlin, a 35-year-old man was arrested after allegedly threatening a police officer with a blank-firing weapon. The altercation occurred around 1:25 AM when police were summoned to Hansastraße due to reports of a disturbance.

Upon their arrival, officers discovered the man had been shouting, playing loud music, and throwing objects inside his residence for several hours. When confronted by the authorities, he was found brandishing a firearm.

The situation escalated when the man briefly pointed the weapon at an officer. However, a tactical intervention by the police, which included a precise kick, caused the firearm to fall from his grasp. The officers then successfully subdued and arrested him.

A subsequent search of the man's home yielded three additional blank-firing guns, ammunition, a switchblade, and various pyrotechnic materials, all of which were confiscated by the police.

It was reported that the individual appeared to be under the influence of alcohol at the time of his arrest. Following a blood test, he was placed in police custody but later released. He now faces charges related to making threats, as well as violations of firearms and explosives regulations.

The investigation is currently being handled by the specialized department of the Police Directorate 1 (North), in collaboration with the State Security unit of the Berlin Criminal Police.
