A city council member from Mannheim has stirred controversy with plans for an FKK (free body culture) swinger vacation in France, prompting 25 participants to express interest. Julien Ferrat, a representative from the independent citizens' initiative, aims to prepare attendees for the trip, which is set to take place at a designated FKK beach on a French island.
Ferrat's initiative, advertised in a local government publication, described the trip as a unique political educational journey to Cap d'Agde, which is known for its nudist facilities. The proposed itinerary includes a mix of leisure and educational activities, with Ferrat suggesting the experience would resemble a Tantra workshop, where participants would receive both theoretical insights and practical demonstrations.
Set to begin on August 2, the eight-day trip is designed to provide an unforgettable experience, combining relaxation with discussions on political themes. The village of Cap d'Agde, located along the Mediterranean coast, features the well-known naturist community, Village Naturiste. The trip has generated mixed reactions from local officials and community members.
In response to concerns regarding public decency, a police spokesperson mentioned that while public sexual acts are generally prohibited, certain areas like FKK beaches may allow for a degree of intimacy. It is emphasized that participants must adhere to local laws and societal norms during their stay.
The initiative has faced significant backlash, particularly from the local CDU party, which condemned Ferrat's proposal as misguided. Party leaders expressed that such a call could harm the reputation of local governance. In defense, Ferrat drew parallels to educational trips organized by other politicians, suggesting that innovative approaches should also be considered.
Additionally, Ferrat has reached out to the mayor of Cap d'Agde for discussions regarding the planned educational aspects of the trip and has coordinated with a local swinger club, the business association, and the French naturist federation to enrich the experience for participants.
