Investigation Launched as EUR80,000 Goes Missing from Berlin Police Evidence Locker

The missing amount was reportedly associated with an unresolved inheritance case, as noted in the evidence list maintained by the police. Upon realizing the money was unaccounted for, the officer promptly alerted superiors, leading to an immediate response from the Criminal Investigation Department.

In order to eliminate any potential bias, the initial inquiry was handed over to a different division of the police force.
