Zeven - A fire broke out in a residential building in Zeven on Saturday at approximately 12:30 PM, causing significant alarm as one individual was initially reported missing. Emergency services promptly responded and initiated entry into the affected structure. The incident escalated from a level F2 to F3, prompting the deployment of additional resources to manage the situation.

The fire originated in an upper-floor apartment of a multi-unit dwelling. Fortunately, it was quickly confirmed that no occupants were present in the affected residence. This allowed the firefighters, equipped with breathing apparatus, to focus solely on extinguishing the flames.

The source of the fire was swiftly identified, and through effective firefighting measures, the spread to adjacent apartments was successfully prevented. Nevertheless, two units were rendered uninhabitable due to extensive smoke damage and soot accumulation. Local authorities have since launched an investigation into the cause of the fire.

Firefighting units from Zeven, Brauel, Brüttendorf, Badenstedt, and Heeslingen were involved in the operation. After the flames were subdued, the flat roof was checked for heat using a thermal camera, and no further risks were identified. The emergency response concluded after approximately one and a half hours.
