Cyclist Injured in Tram Collision in Berlin-Köpenick

Berlin - A traffic incident occurred in Köpenick on the evening of May 1, resulting in injuries to a cyclist. At approximately 8:30 PM, a 39-year-old cyclist attempted to cross the intersection at Lindenstraße and Joachimstraße. Meanwhile, a 49-year-old tram driver was proceeding from Bahnhofstraße when a collision took place under a green traffic light.

The cyclist sustained injuries to his torso and required hospitalization for further medical treatment. As a result of the accident, tram services on lines 27, 60, 67, and 61 were suspended until around 9:30 PM while the situation was addressed.

Authorities from the police department's specialized traffic unit are currently conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident. Further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
