Fri 21st Feb, 2025

In a troubling incident early in the morning, residents of Schwaan reported the theft of chickens from a private garden. A local woman, aged 56, reported hearing two male voices around 9:30 AM on her property located on Spatzenweg. Upon investigation, she noticed alarming sounds of clucking and saw feathers strewn about from the window of her bathroom.

When she rushed to her terrace to confront the situation, the perpetrators had already fled the scene, taking with them two of her chickens. A subsequent search revealed a third chicken found deceased a few houses away from her residence.

The victim mentioned that this incident is not isolated; since February 9, 2025, she has experienced a series of similar thefts, amounting to the loss of one rooster and ten chickens to date. Additionally, she reported discovering two injured chickens in a nearby field, indicating a troubling pattern of animal cruelty and theft in the area.

Witnesses described the suspects as speaking fluent German, with no discernible accent, raising concerns about the local nature of these crimes. However, as of now, there are no additional leads or descriptions available to assist the authorities in their investigation.
