Financial crisis arrives in  Munich: according to an article in the Sueddeutsche Zeitung the city debtor and insolvency advice office has to deal now with much more requests than in previous years. When earlier their clients were mostly social help recipients and unemployed who were in debt, today the poverty has increasingly reached people from the middle and upper classes. From January to September 2009 in Bavaria, there were in total 10,564 bankruptcies and "other debtors". The term "other debtors" means an individual as a consumer or former self-employed. People easily fall into a debt trap. As a last way out a person is often forced to announce personal bankruptcy followed by the seizure of their property.
