Drug dealing ring smashed

Taufkirchen. Munich police have broken up a drug dealing ring last weekend.  The investigators found 19 kilos of marijuana with a market value of 250,000 euros.

The police got a tip-off that a house in Taufkirchen was used to conduct trade in cannabis. The property was put under surveillance for several days. The investigators observed on Saturday evening a 28-year-old man with a sports bag leaving the house and waiting with a 22-year-old friend in a taxi.

Five kilos marijuana was found in the sports bag of the 28-year-old. Shortly after this the next "customer" left the apartment. A 23-year-old man carried a rucksack and two bags to his car. The police found another 7.7 kilos of marijuana and arrested him and the buyer.

During the search of the drug dealer's flat, the investigators found 5.6 kilos of marijuana  and 57,300 euros in cash. A 27-year-old man and his 60-year-old mother, as well as the other three buyers were arrested. With the exception of the 60-year-old woman, all are suspecting by the police to be involved in drug-dealing.

In the apartment of the 28-year-old dealer, who had transported the drugs in the sports bag, the police found a further 23,700 euros in cash. Moreover, the officials found a pistol along with ammunition. This discovery could have very serious consequences for the suspect now.

He is charged with armed drug trafficking. The minimum prison term for this is five years. The total of 19 kilos of drugs, with a market value of 250,000 euros has being destroyed.
