Wuppertal: Man Attacked in Late-Night Robbery

Wuppertal experienced a troubling incident on February 8, 2024, when a 42-year-old pedestrian became the victim of a violent robbery. The event unfolded around 10:30 PM on Heckinghauser Straße, setting off alarm bells in the local community.

According to reports, the victim was ambushed from behind by an unidentified assailant who seized him by the neck. This sudden attack caused him to lose his balance and fall to the ground. While he struggled to regain his composure, he noticed two additional suspects looming over him.

As the victim lay on the pavement, one of the attackers swiftly reached into his back pocket and stole his wallet, taking with it a small amount of cash, reported to be in the double digits. The entire ordeal was over in a matter of moments, leaving the victim shaken and without his belongings.

Following the robbery, the trio of assailants fled the scene in a white Mercedes Sprinter, heading eastward. Witnesses described the suspects as men in their thirties. Two of the perpetrators were noted to be approximately 170 to 175 centimeters tall, with slender builds and short hair. The third individual was described as being taller, around 180 to 185 centimeters, with a stockier physique and short black hair.
