Authorities in Berlin have apprehended a 37-year-old man following a thorough search of his apartment that revealed a significant cache of illegal substances and weapons. The operation, conducted by law enforcement, uncovered approximately 1.4 kilograms of amphetamines, over 700 ecstasy tablets, around one kilogram of marijuana, and 800 grams of hashish, among other items.

The police reported that the man was found in possession of several weapons, including a baseball bat, a baton, a machete, and multiple knives. The discovery of pyrotechnics necessitated the involvement of the bomb disposal unit to ensure safety during the investigation.

This case emerged from ongoing investigations that began in late 2024, which indicated the individual was actively involved in the distribution of narcotics. The evidence collected suggested a substantial level of drug trafficking within the area.

Following the search, the suspect was brought before an investigative judge, who subsequently issued an arrest warrant. The charges include the illegal trade of controlled substances in significant quantities and violations of cannabis consumption laws.

The police emphasized their commitment to addressing drug-related offenses and ensuring community safety, as they continue to tackle the challenges posed by illegal drug trade in Berlin.
