The Berlin police are actively seeking the public's assistance in locating a 65-year-old man who has been missing since April 7. The individual, identified as Piotr Majewski, is believed to be in a vulnerable state due to the onset of dementia, and only speaks Polish.
Majewski traveled to Berlin from Poland at the beginning of April. On the evening of April 7, he left the residence of a friend located on Soldiner Straße in the Gesundbrunnen district to visit a nearby Penny supermarket, but did not return. He was reportedly seen by a local business owner at a bus stop on Wollankstraße on April 8.
According to police reports, Majewski may be disoriented due to his condition. He is described as being between 165 and 175 centimeters tall, of solid build, bald, and wearing glasses. At the time of his disappearance, he had a white stubbly beard. His walking style has been noted as unstable and unsteady.
When last seen, Majewski was dressed in a black hooded jacket, long black pants, and a long-sleeved blue checkered shirt. Additionally, he wore a black wool beanie and was likely carrying a red plastic bag.
Authorities are urging anyone who may have seen Majewski since his disappearance to come forward with any information. The police are requesting the public to provide any leads that could assist in determining his whereabouts.
Individuals with information can contact the Criminal Police of Police Directorate 1 (North) located at Am Nordgraben 7 in Berlin-Wittenau. They can be reached by phone at (030) 4664-173400 during office hours or at (030) 4664-171100 outside of these hours.
