Braunschweig authorities are currently investigating a traffic incident that occurred on Salzdahlumer Straße on February 18, 2025, at approximately 12:45 PM. A 37-year-old woman was driving her Seat vehicle out of the city when a bus stopped at the Bebelhof bus station. At that moment, a ten-year-old girl unexpectedly stepped onto the roadway, resulting in her being lightly brushed by the car's side mirror as it passed by.
After the incident, the driver immediately pulled over to check on the girl. Although the child assured the driver that she was unharmed and did not require any assistance, she continued on her way towards Borsigstraße. Concerned about the situation, the driver promptly reported the incident to the traffic accident service.
Authorities are now seeking to locate the girl and any additional witnesses to the event. It is believed that she may reside in the Bebelhof area. Anyone who witnessed the incident is urged to contact the traffic accident service at the phone number 0531/476-3935.
The local police emphasize the importance of public cooperation in this case to ensure the safety and well-being of the child involved.
