In a significant operation yesterday, investigators from the State Criminal Police Office (LKA) executed several search warrants in Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein, resulting in the recovery of eight stolen motorcycles and a luxury sports car. The investigation centered around a motorcycle dealership in Hamburg-Lokstedt that had allegedly taken in motorcycles from various customers for repair or resale but failed to return them or complete sales. After multiple customers filed complaints with law enforcement, the dealership was subsequently closed, prompting the LKA's Wandsbek division (LKA 152) to take over the case. Authorities identified a 58-year-old individual affiliated with the motorcycle dealership as a key suspect, who is also believed to have misappropriated a leased Porsche 911. Following the submission of a request by the public prosecutor's office, the Hamburg District Court issued search warrants for the suspect's residence in Duvenstedt, as well as for two commercial properties located in Lokstedt and Tangstedt in Schleswig-Holstein. During the execution of these warrants, law enforcement officials successfully recovered eight motorcycles, which included a Harley-Davidson and several models from Indian Motorcycle, along with the luxury Porsche. The investigation is ongoing as the authorities continue to gather evidence and determine the full extent of the alleged criminal activities associated with the dealership.
