Overweight Patient Rescued by Crane

Feldkirchen. For the second time in 6 days the auxillery fire brigade has had to rescue overweight people from their homes; first in Vaterstetten and after in Feldkirchen.

On thursday an ill patient had to be transported from their attic to the ambulance. After the team stabilised the patient he was carried on a stretcher into a rescue basket and with a crane lifted through the window from the house.

"Due to the weight of the patient, and the only access route being through the window in the attic, the mission would have not been possible under normal circumstances", stresses the fire brigade of Feldkirchen.
