S-Bahn Weekend Maintenance Closures

Starting on Friday, May 12th 2017 at 10:45pm and ending on Monday, May 15th 2017 4.30am, the S-Bahn Stammstrecke (main line) will be out of service due to repair and maintenance work.

S-Bahn lines to/from the west of Munich will start and end at Pasing or Hauptbahnhof. The S2 will end during the day at Heimeranplatz also.

S-Bahn lines to/from the east of Munich will start and end at Ostbahnhof.

The airport line S8 will go at all times but leave out the stations between Pasing and Ostbahnhof and...

British citizen dies in Maxvorstadt incident

A 24 year old British citizen has been found seriously injured on the pavement of Max-Joseph-Straße in the early hours of Thursday, May 4th 2017. He died shortly after in hospital as all attempts to reanimate him failed.

Forensic examinations have provided proof that the man who was registered in a hotel near Munich, apparently fell from the roof of the building.

According to the police, it is still unknown what caused the incident but there is circumstantial evidence which points to suicide.

Disney Store Rumours Abound

The Disney entertainment group reportedly plans to come back to Munich after 15 years of absence. According to the Immobilien Zeitung Muenchen and rumors between various Munich retailers, Disney wants to open a flagship store directly in the center of the main pedestrian zone in the city centre.

Munich OEZ Mall Attack: crazed gunman right-wing minded

According to the official inquiry report into the Munich OEZ mall attack on July 22nd 2016, the gunman - 18 year old David S. was extremely right-wing minded.
The investigators concluded that from the fact that the young man with Iranian roots was a great admirer of the Norwegian mass-murderer Anders Breivik. The Munich attack was planned, and carried out, on the date of the 5th anniversary of the Utøya-massacre.

Other hints to the right-wing political attitude of David S. have been uncovered....

Axe attack on Wurzburg Train

Four people have been injured, three seriously, by an axe-wielding assiallant. The incident took place on a train operating between Wurzburg-Heidingsfeld and Ochsenfurt. Shortly before 05:00 this morning at Grafing station, a knife-wielding assailant attacked a number of commuters, killing one man and injuring three others. Ten killed as trains collide in Bavaria

Two trains collided head-on killing ten people and injuring more than 100 near Bad Aibling, about 60 kilometres southeast of Munich in Bavaria.
