Hertha Berlin is facing significant challenges following yet another disappointing performance in the 2. Bundesliga. In response to mounting criticism from fans, President Fabian Drescher has issued an appeal for unity among supporters and club members.

In a communication shared with club members and on social media, Drescher acknowledged the club's current struggles both on and off the field. He emphasized the importance of collective effort in overcoming the difficulties faced by the team, stating that the best chance for success lies in a united front. While he recognized the right of fans to express their frustrations, he urged them not to undermine the foundational values of the club.

Currently, Hertha finds itself in a disappointing twelfth place in the league standings, far from the promotion race. The team's recent match against bottom-placed Regensburg ended in a 0-2 defeat, marking one of their poorest performances this season. Following this loss, Sports Director Benjamin Weber defended head coach Cristian Fiél during a media session, while also placing responsibility on the players for their performance.

Despite the team's challenges, Drescher expressed gratitude for the unwavering support from the fans, acknowledging the pain caused by the team's inability to deliver positive results. He reassured fans that the club's leadership is available for discussions during home games, signaling a willingness to engage with supporters.

This Saturday, Hertha will host 1. FC Kaiserslautern at the Olympiastadion, with hopes of improving their league standing and restoring faith among their supporters.
