European Leaders Condemn Russian Attack on Sumy as a Cowardly Act

On Palm Sunday, a Russian missile strike on the city of Sumy in northeastern Ukraine resulted in the tragic loss of 34 lives, including two children, and left 117 individuals injured. The assault occurred on the morning of April 13, just two days after a meeting between U.S. Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and Russian President Vladimir Putin to discuss peace negotiations in the ongoing Ukraine conflict.

The attack unfolded as many residents were out in the city, according to reports from local media.
