Dülmen Incident: Man (50) Accused of Harassing Women in Park

Dülmen - A disturbing incident unfolded in the Dülmener Schlosspark on the evening of April 5, 2025, when a 50-year-old local man reportedly harassed several women. The man approached his victims, some of whom were accompanied by children, making inappropriate sexual remarks.

Upon the arrival of law enforcement, he exhibited aggressive behavior, responding to their inquiries with obscene gestures and insults directed at a female officer. His demeanor suggested he was under the influence of alcohol, as he appeared highly agitated.

To document the situation, officers activated their body cameras. Despite the presence of law enforcement, the man continued to act aggressively, verbally assaulting the officers, and even attempted to spit at them and kick. During a search, he made an effort to headbutt the officers.

Even while in police custody, he persisted in his aggressive conduct, making attempts to attack the officers. A breathalyzer test revealed a blood alcohol concentration of 1.8 per mille. Following the incident, a local magistrate authorized his detention until the following morning.

The involved officers were unharmed and subsequently filed a report regarding the man's actions. The recordings from the body cameras were secured, and a criminal investigation was initiated against the individual.
