The assailant approached a 12-year-old boy of Syrian descent, grabbing him by the face and squeezing his cheeks. In an aggressive act, he then shoved the young boy into a nearby fast-food restaurant, causing the child to fall to the ground. Fortunately, a 36-year-old bystander intervened, separating the parties involved.

The attacker attempted to flee the scene; however, federal police officers apprehended him in the main hall and took him to the station for questioning. Video footage reviewed by authorities corroborated the details of the altercation. The young boy sustained a minor injury, including a small, bleeding wound on his cheek, along with redness on his face and neck. Officers provided initial medical care at the scene.
