Themar: Diesel Theft Reported at Local Business Premises

Themar - Authorities are investigating a recent incident of diesel theft that occurred at a commercial property located on Tachbacher Straße. The theft took place between January 30 and January 31, 2025, involving unidentified individuals who broke into the fuel tank of a parked truck.

According to reports, approximately 40 to 50 liters of diesel fuel, valued at around 75 euros, were stolen from the vehicle. The act of tampering with the fuel tank resulted in an additional damage cost of approximately 50 euros for the damaged tank cap.

In a separate but related incident, another truck on the same premises was also targeted by the thieves. However, in this case, the individuals were unsuccessful in stealing any fuel. The tank cap on this vehicle was also damaged, incurring a repair cost estimated at 50 euros.

The Hildburghausen Police Department is appealing to the public for any information that may lead to the identification of the perpetrators. Residents and anyone with pertinent information are encouraged to report their insights to any local police station.
