Controversial Police Officer Faces Court Over Allegations of Misconduct

Stuttgart - A police officer at the center of a scandal is set to appear in court this Friday. The case revolves around allegations of sexual misconduct involving a junior colleague during a night out together. The officer in question, Andreas Renner, aged 49, has been accused of sexually assaulting a younger female officer while they were celebrating at a bar. Following these allegations, he was temporarily relieved of his duties. However, despite his suspension, Renner continues to receive a substantial salary, drawing approximately EUR8,300 per month, totaling around EUR140,000 since his suspension in November 2021.
