China Considers Joining Potential Peacekeeping Forces in Ukraine

According to reports, China is contemplating its participation in potential peacekeeping forces in Ukraine. Chinese diplomats have reportedly been exploring the feasibility and desirability of such a step from the perspective of European nations, as highlighted in a preliminary report by the Welt am Sonntag, citing EU diplomatic sources familiar with the discussions. The inclusion of China in a 'Coalition of the Willing' could potentially enhance the acceptance of peacekeeping troops in Ukraine by Russia, as per diplomatic circles in Brussels. However, the matter remains sensitive and complex.

In related developments, French President Emmanuel Macron has announced a summit for Ukraine supporters set for Thursday, with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky also expected to attend.

In another incident, reports from Moscow indicate that six individuals were injured due to Ukrainian drone attacks across several Russian regions, including Voronezh, Belgorod, Rostov, Volgograd, and Astrakhan. The Russian Defense Ministry stated that 47 drones were either destroyed or intercepted during the night. Additionally, several residential buildings were reportedly damaged in Rostov, while a fire truck was hit in Gorlovka, a city in the partially Russian-occupied eastern Ukrainian region of Donetsk.
