In Mainz, authorities are investigating an unsettling incident where a young child was struck by a plastic bottle. On March 31, 2025, at approximately 7 PM, a mother reported that her toddler was hit on the arm by a half-filled bottle thrown from a nearby building.
The mother indicated that the bottle was launched from a multi-family residence located on Goethe Street. Fortunately, the child did not sustain any injuries from the incident.
Local law enforcement has commenced an investigation into the matter, classifying it as an attempted assault causing bodily harm. However, despite the initial inquiry, officers were unable to identify the specific apartment from which the bottle was thrown, leading to unsuccessful search efforts at the scene.

This incident highlights the importance of community vigilance and the role of the public in reporting suspicious activities to ensure the safety of all residents, particularly vulnerable individuals such as children.
