Rising Popularity: Minister Highlights Improved Image of Brandenburg

Brandenburg has reportedly seen an increase in its popularity, according to the state's Economic Minister. This improvement is attributed to years of marketing efforts aimed at enhancing the region's image across Germany.

During a press conference held at the State Chancellery in Potsdam, the minister emphasized that the substantial investments made in marketing--totaling hundreds of thousands of euros annually--are yielding positive results. The latest survey indicates that the state's favorability ratings have increased among residents of both Eastern and Western Germany.

The minister pointed out that in nearly all age groups, there has been a noticeable rise in the attractiveness of Brandenburg since 2017. Contributing factors include investments in future technologies and the establishment of the Tesla factory in Grünheide. According to the head of the state marketing department, the perception of Brandenburg has evolved from being viewed as a 'blank slate' to a more defined and appealing region.

Particularly among women, the state's popularity has seen significant growth. The survey, which included responses from approximately 1,600 individuals, reflects a changing landscape where Brandenburg is gaining a more favorable reputation.

Previously, the state's marketing budget was set at 800,000 euros annually, but with the new budgetary provisions, this amount has been increased to 1 million euros. This boost in funding is expected to further enhance the state's promotional efforts and solidify its improved image.
