One such aspiring mechanic, currently in his second year of apprenticeship at Blech Company GmbH & Co. KG in Weißensee, has shared insights into his training. The apprentice, whose enthusiasm for automobiles drives his career choice, engages in a variety of tasks that go beyond simple repairs.

Automotive body and vehicle mechanics primarily focus on repairing accident damage, addressing rust issues, and performing dent removal. Their work is comprehensive, encompassing everything except engine repairs and painting. The tools at their disposal include a range of specialized hammers, pliers, and welding equipment, enabling them to craft and modify vehicle components effectively.

To thrive in this profession, individuals should possess a strong passion for cars, an appreciation for aesthetics, and practical skills. The emotional connection many have with their vehicles means that a trustworthy and respectful demeanor is equally important in this line of work.
