The Olympiastadion came alive with 23-degree heat, sweat, and glitter as Deutsch-Pop-Rap sensation Paula Hartmann took the stage around noon, becoming the festival's opening act. "We've never played this early before," she exclaimed. "I thought I'd be performing in front of ten people!" However, the audience surpassed expectations, with several hundred gathering at the outset. Many more festivalgoers still waited eagerly at the entrance. According to organizers, an estimated 50,000 people are expected each day over the weekend.

As the heat and volume levels rose in the afternoon, a playful water battle erupted near the water station, and festivalgoers showcased increasingly extravagant outfits. Superbloom, like any festival, was a vibrant fashion show this year, featuring clothing and costumes in vibrant colors, flower crowns, fairy wings, and even diamond-studded crowns. Airy dresses, 80s-style bell-bottom pants, and intricately designed bralettes were among the highlights. The festival thrived on the creativity of its attendees.

Besides the music, Superbloom also offered an array of other attractions. Aerial acrobatics shows and stilt-walkers dressed as swans were among the entertainment options.

However, music remained the main focus. Over 60 artists were slated to perform across six stages. On Saturday evening, just before the nightfall, the penultimate act on the main stage was none other than Peter Fox. Following that, Trettmann took the stage, and as the night deepened, Martin Garrix electrified the massive audience as the closing act of the first day.

The festival's Sunday lineup includes artists like Imagine Dragons, Ava Max, and Jason Derulo, as well as a performance by the "Mord auf Ex" True-Crime podcasters.

Superbloom 2023 has certainly kicked off with a sizzling start, promising a weekend filled with music, creativity, and unforgettable experiences at the Olympiastadion in Munich.
