Munich. The strike with the U-Bahn, bus and tram will be interrupted on Tuesday for consideration of the family day at the Wiesn.
The trade union GdL and the DBB tariff union wanted this to be understood "as a gesture of good will". "We want that parents and their children can have an uninterrupted day at the Wiesn", says Willi Russ, who is responsible for the talks about communal local traffic in the trade union. But he also stressed: "This doesn't change our basic concern."
Since last Friday, the trade union called for an unlimited strike - and has caused a great deal of outrage with it. The MVG managed to limit the effects of the strikes, the delays and the dropouts - despite over 55 percent of the work shifts being affected.
