Ubisoft has announced that players can now register for beta testing phases of their upcoming city-building strategy game, 'Anno 117'. Enthusiasts eager to participate can submit their applications via the official Ubisoft website.
In a recent blog post, Ubisoft indicated that there will be multiple beta testing phases, although specific dates and further details have yet to be disclosed. Interested players are encouraged to apply, but Ubisoft notes that registration does not guarantee selection. The company expressed hope that some participants will enjoy the chance to provide valuable feedback during the testing process.
'Anno 117' is set in the height of the Roman Empire, allowing players to develop two equally matched regions: the core of the Roman territory and a Celtic area, which players can choose from at the start of the game. This latest installment will introduce new gameplay mechanics, including the ability to select different population groups during advancement. Additionally, there are strong indications that players may be able to construct diagonal streets for the first time in the series.
The beta tests will be available on multiple platforms, including PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5. When registering, players can specify their preferred platform. PC participants will need to have a Ubisoft Connect account. After initial registration, players can add additional platforms to their application, allowing for submissions for both PC and consoles.
'Anno 117' marks the eighth entry in the esteemed 'Anno' series, following previous titles such as 'Anno 1602', '1503', '1701', '1404', '2070', '2205', and '1800'. So far, Ubisoft has not released any gameplay footage for this anticipated installment.
