It´s festival time again!
After a break of almost two years due to the pandemic, the big summer festivals are taking place again. Long overdue! This also applies to the twin festivals Southside and Hurricane, which took place for the 23rd time last weekend (17.06.-19.06.) in idyllic Neuhausen ob Eck in Baden-Württemberg.
For three days, the contemplative airfield on the outskirts of the town once again became the epicentre of the pop world, where around 65,000 exuberant festivalgoers were able to temporarily leave everyday life at home.
With high temperatures and the appropriate soundtrack, life was celebrated exuberantly. This year's headliners included the US rock bands KINGS OF LEON and THE KILLERS as well as the two German hip hop acts SEEED and DEICHKIND. The latter delivered an impressive "Krawall-und-Remmidemmi" riot-and-rampage show on Sunday, including a ride on an oversized beer barrel, free beer and the obligatory crowd surfing in a rubber boat.
In addition to the big headliners, the acts included: Thees Uhlmann & Band, Jimmy Eat World, Mando Diao, LP, The Hives, Alice Merton, Bad Religion, Turbostaat, Inhaler, Idles, Twenty One Pilots, K.I.Z., Charli XCX, Frittenbude and Juju. Again, it was great fun. And we are already looking forward to next year's edition! Tickets can already be ordered online at:Â www.ticket-onlineshop.com/ols/southside
