Vandalism at Tesla Store in Berlin Amid Protests

Mon 31st Mar, 2025

In a recent demonstration against Tesla, a group of activists targeted a store in Berlin-Reinickendorf, spraying blue paint on its entrance and facade. This act of vandalism occurred shortly after a protest held by the group known as Neue Generation, which previously operated under the name Letzte Generation.

According to police reports, two women, aged 28 and 44, were apprehended temporarily to confirm their identities. Authorities are currently investigating the incident as a case of property damage.

The activists chose blue paint intentionally, citing it as a reference to Elon Musk's political affiliations, particularly his support for the far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD) party. They used modified fire extinguishers for the spray paint attack, which also affected six vehicles displayed outside the store.

This act of protest coincided with an international day of action against Tesla, spurred by Musk's past involvement with the administration of former U.S. President Donald Trump. The demonstration aimed to draw attention to what activists perceive as problematic corporate practices and political stances of the billionaire CEO.

As the situation develops, local authorities continue to monitor protests related to Tesla's operations and Musk's influence on global political matters. The group Neue Generation has expressed its commitment to raising awareness of these issues through direct action.
