Unpredictable Weather Ahead: Rain and Thunderstorms Expected in Berlin and Brandenburg

Mon 14th Apr, 2025

The upcoming days in Berlin and Brandenburg are set to bring a mix of weather conditions, as forecasters indicate potential rain and thunderstorms. According to the German Weather Service (DWD), while the temperatures are on the rise, cloudy skies and precipitation may impact outdoor plans.

On the first day of the Easter vacation, temperatures are expected to range between 20 and 23 degrees Celsius, characterized by a blend of sunshine and clouds. The DWD warns that thunderstorms could develop, particularly in regions stretching from Prignitz to Uckermark during midday and afternoon hours. These storms may be accompanied by gusty winds reaching speeds of up to 70 kilometers per hour and possible hail.

As the night approaches, temperatures will drop to between 12 and 8 degrees Celsius. Moving towards midweek, the weather remains variable but is expected to warm up significantly. On Tuesday, rain clouds will start to move in around midday, bringing occasional showers that will gradually clear out overnight. Maximum temperatures are projected to reach a pleasant 23 degrees.

By Wednesday, residents can anticipate notably warmer conditions, with temperatures climbing to between 24 and 27 degrees Celsius. While morning showers are likely, the chance of further rain or thunderstorms diminishes throughout the afternoon and evening.

Despite the potential for rain, many individuals are expected to take advantage of the warmer temperatures and enjoy outdoor activities. The weather pattern reflects a typical spring scenario in the region, where fluctuations between sun and rain are common.
