On Friday afternoon, the 25th July, an unknown motorist severely injured a 13-year-old cyclist on the busy streets of Munich's outskirts.
Police reported that the female student was cycling home when the car quickly drove out of a driveway at about 13.15 on Freisinger Landstraße and stopped directly over the cycling lane and pavement.
The student did not have the time to either brake or steer herself away before colliding with the left wheel of the dark vehicle. Badly injured and bleeding, the driver of the vehicle simple drove away, leaving the 13-year-old to make her own way home and call the emergency services from there. She has now been admitted to hospital for treatment.
