In a recent incident in Berlin-Charlottenburg, six Tesla vehicles were vandalized, with the air being let out of their tires. The local police reported that this act occurred on April 7 and 8, primarily on Wundtstraße and Nehringstraße. In addition to the deflated tires, the perpetrators left behind letters of claim and stickers featuring political messages affixed to the cars.

The content of these letters and the political nature of the stickers are currently under investigation, according to a police spokesperson. The Berlin State Criminal Police Office's State Security Department is handling the case.

This event is reminiscent of previous actions taken by a group known as the "Tyre Extinguishers," who gained notoriety last year for deflating the tires of 80 SUVs in Berlin. During those incidents, they also attached flyers criticizing the use of such vehicles. Furthermore, Tesla locations and the company's manufacturing plant in Grünheide have faced similar protests in recent weeks.

Authorities continue to explore connections between this recent vandalism and previous incidents of a similar nature, as they work to identify the responsible parties. The police are urging anyone with information related to these acts to come forward.

As discussions surrounding environmental concerns and vehicle emissions intensify, actions such as these reflect ongoing tensions regarding the use of electric vehicles and their societal impacts. This incident highlights the complexities of urban living, where differing viewpoints on transportation and environmental responsibility often come to a head.
