Nürnberg Incident: 19-Year-Old Arrested After Stabbing of Teenager

Nürnberg - A significant incident transpired in the Südstadt district of Nürnberg during the early hours of Friday, March 14, 2025, when a 19-year-old man allegedly stabbed a 15-year-old boy, resulting in severe injuries. Following the attack, the assailant fled the scene, prompting a swift response from law enforcement.

Authorities reported that the two individuals were in the Humboldtstraße area near Allersberger Straße at around midnight when the incident occurred. The young victim was with an acquaintance and they traversed the vicinity between Humboldtstraße, Dallingerstraße, and Anne-Frank-Straße. For reasons that remain unclear, the perpetrator attacked the teenager with a sharp object, causing serious wounds to the upper body.

After the assault, the attacker fled on foot towards Dallingerstraße, where he entered a black Volkswagen Golf and drove away. At the time of the escape, the rear license plate of the vehicle was absent. Local police from the Nürnberg-Süd precinct initiated a search for the car but were initially unsuccessful in locating it.

As the investigation progressed, evidence against a 19-year-old man began to solidify. Officers from a special tactical unit apprehended the suspect hours later in Röthenbach an der Pegnitz. The criminal investigation team from Middle Franconia conducted initial forensic measures and secured the black Golf used in the incident.

The public prosecutor's office in Nürnberg-Fürth has since filed for a detention order against the suspect, who is slated to appear before the investigative judge at the Nürnberg District Court to assess the situation regarding custody.
