Örebro, Sweden - A routine Tuesday turned into a nightmare when a gunman opened fire on students and teachers at the Risbergska Campus School around 12:30 PM. The incident resulted in at least eleven fatalities, sending shockwaves through the community.

As students and faculty fled in terror, one courageous student, Marwa, stepped forward to assist the injured amid the gunfire. Marwa, an aspiring nurse, utilized her training to provide first aid to those affected.

Witnesses reported hearing screams and seeing people running for cover, but there was no alarm to signal danger. Marwa recounted her harrowing experience of encountering a scene of chaos as she sought safety. "We opened the door to leave and saw someone shooting indiscriminately," she explained. "A man next to me was shot in the shoulder, and there was blood everywhere." As she assessed the situation, she found three individuals unconscious on the ground.

Without hesitation, Marwa used her friend's scarf as a makeshift bandage to tend to one of the victims. "It was worse than I could have ever imagined," she stated. "I tried to apply everything I had learned in my nursing training, but the reality was far more terrifying." Her quick actions may have saved the life of the young man she assisted, earning her admiration in the midst of a tragic event. However, the incident has left a lasting impact on her. "My clothes were soaked in blood. The school used to feel like a safe space, and now I'm not sure if I can return," she reflected.

Authorities have confirmed that the shooter, who was reportedly 35 years old and possessed a firearm license, acted alone. Local media indicated that he was not previously known to the police. Eyewitness accounts described the assailant wearing green clothing and armed with a long gun, with reports suggesting he had another weapon on his back.

Emergency services responded swiftly to the scene, where at least eleven individuals lost their lives. By early evening, the Örebro region reported that six adults had been admitted to the hospital, four of whom required surgery. At the time of the report, one individual was in critical condition while two others sustained minor injuries.

In light of the attack, the Risbergska Campus School will remain closed for the foreseeable future. Community leader Peter Larsson announced, "I expect the school to be closed for the entire week." However, other schools in the area will continue normal operations.

Sweden's Prime Minister has referred to the incident as the worst mass shooting in the country's history, highlighting the severity of this tragic event.
