A 21-year-old man tragically lost his life following a violent altercation at a nightclub in Trittau, near Hamburg. In the aftermath of this incident, a suspect has turned himself in to the authorities and is now in pre-trial detention.

The individual, who is from the Stormarn district, approached the police on Wednesday accompanied by legal counsel. During questioning by the Lübeck homicide division, he provided details regarding the events that unfolded on the night of April 13.

Following the interrogation, law enforcement officials arrested him. A judge, acting on a request from the Lübeck public prosecutor's office, subsequently issued an arrest warrant on charges of manslaughter. The suspect has been transferred to a correctional facility.

Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident are ongoing. Police officials indicated that due to the complex nature of the case and the incomplete interviews with witnesses, they are currently unable to respond to further inquiries.

On the same day, police conducted an extensive search for the weapon used in the attack. The homicide unit, along with a special task force and police divers, scoured the nightclub premises and a nearby rainwater retention basin.

Initial autopsy findings revealed that the victim died from excessive blood loss. Reports indicate that five other individuals sustained minor injuries during the confrontation.
