Summer Rock Festivals

It is too late to secure tickets for some of the rock festivals in the region, but certainly not too late for all.  Below is a list of some of the festivals in the area where tickets are still available.

Chiemsee Rocks - 38 Euros - August 22^nd - Beatsteaks, Deichkind, The Gaslight Anthem, Me First and the Gimme Gimmes, Anti Flag, and First Class Ticket.

Rock am See - 62 Euros - September 1^st - Green Day, Beatsteaks, Social Distortion, Flogging Molly, Angels and Airwaves, Jupiter Jones, and Itchy Poopzkid.

Southside Festival - 141 Euros - June 22^nd-24^th - Die Ärzte, The Cure, Blink 182, Justice Live, Rise Against, The Stone Roses, Mumford & Sons, Sportfreunde Stiller, The Kooks, The xx, Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, Casper, The Mars Volta, Broilers, Madsen, Garbage, Eagles of Death Metal, Frank Turner, Pennywise, Lagwagon, Hot Water Music, Mad Caddies, Less Than Jake, and many more.

Taubertal Festival - 100 Euros - August  10^th-12^th - Placebo, The Wombats, The Broilers, Bush, The Boss Hoss, Madsen, Boysetsfire, Beatsteaks, Social Distortion, Heaven Shall Burn, Royal Republic, Yellowcard, ZSK, The Computers, Zebrahead, Hoffmaestro, and many more.

The above festivals are all standard rock festivals with camping optional and have bands all day and well into the night.  However, there are also pseudo festivals such as Backstage's "Free and Easy Festival," which takes place from July 21^st to August 8^th.  During this time all shows at the backstage are free.  These are regular shows at a permanent venue, the Backstage, but they simply have no cover charge.  Some of the bands playing this year include:  Anti-Flag, Sepultura, Ignite, Agnostic Front, MXPX, Suicide Commando, Shai Hulud, and Mr. Irish Bastard.
