In a recent interview, Smudo, a member of the renowned German hip-hop group Fantastischen Vier, shared insights into the band's stance on political activism, particularly in light of growing concerns regarding right-wing extremism in Germany. Although he acknowledges the positive impact of public demonstrations against such ideologies, he emphasized that the group has never positioned itself as a politically driven band.

Smudo, whose real name is Michael Bernd Schmidt, remarked on the encouraging trend of citizens taking a stand against right-wing extremism. However, he expressed a preference for the band not to perform at political rallies, stating that their music alone is sufficient to attract audiences.
