Search for missing sailor begins

Tutzing. A 44 year old sailor from Munich fell over board fro his ship on sunday morning and has been declared missing.

According to the police reports on monday, a blood test was made of the partner of the missing sailor due to suspicions they were intoxicated. A result is not yet available. The 52 year old was suffering from shock and will be questioned about the accident in the next few days. After the search by helicopters and boats was cancelled on sunday evening, the coast guard took over searching the area.

Police want to use divers to help in the search for the sailor. However the divers as well as searching dogs wont be working on monday due to bad weather conditions. The specially trained dogs are brought aboard the rescue boats and can smell bodies under water and can so give clues to the rescuers.
