Russian Officer Sentenced After Friendly Fire Incident Involving Military Helicopter
A Russian military officer has been sentenced to two years and ten months in a penal colony following a tragic incident in which a military helicopter was shot down by his own forces. The incident, which resulted in the deaths of three individuals, occurred over the Black Sea on October 18, 2023.
The military court in Rostov-on-Don found the officer guilty of negligence.
