Rostock Police Investigate Armed Robbery Incident

Rostock - A 41-year-old man became the victim of an armed robbery on Monday evening while walking home along Pablo-Picasso-Straße. The incident occurred around 8:20 PM when the man was unexpectedly approached by two assailants dressed in dark clothing.

The perpetrators forcefully pushed the victim against a wall, demanding his belongings without uttering a word. They managed to steal his smartphone and wallet before fleeing the scene in the direction of the Graf-Stauffenberg-Straße tram stop.

The victim described the suspects as approximately 170 cm tall, with one of them wearing a wool hat. After the attack, the man quickly sought assistance by entering a nearby supermarket to contact law enforcement.

A swift police operation was launched to locate the suspects, but unfortunately, it did not yield any results. The Criminal Police in Rostock have taken over the investigation and are appealing to the public for any information regarding the incident. They request that anyone who may have witnessed suspicious individuals in the Pablo-Picasso-Straße area around the time of the robbery come forward.

Furthermore, authorities are particularly interested in hearing from anyone who may have seen two men fitting the description boarding a tram.
